The Center of Movement in Australia is a highly specialized therapy program designed for children with neurological and developmental challenges. Families from all over the world travel there because of its unique, multidisciplinary approach and the way it blends several evidence-supported therapies into one intensive experience. At the Center of Movement, children receive: • Physical Therapy (PT): Focused on developing strength, alignment, coordination, and functional movement patterns. • Occupational Therapy (OT): Built around improving fine-motor skills, sensory processing, and day-to-day independence. • DMI (Dynamic Movement Intervention): A hands-on, highly targeted technique that helps re-teach the brain new pathways for balance, stability, and purposeful movement. • Hydrotherapy: Therapy performed in warm water to reduce strain on joints, increase mobility, and support body awareness and controlled movements. What sets this center apart is the way these therapies are woven together in an intensive format. Children receive multiple sessions each day, allowing for consistent repetition and rapid gains. Families often describe it as a turning point—where their child’s confidence grows, their body learns new skills, and their spirit shines. For a child like Grasley, who responds beautifully to intensive, hands-on approaches, the Center of Movement offers a rare opportunity to build strength, expand her abilities, and create momentum that can carry her long after she returns home.
