Ethan and Jeff are playing Disney’s Dreamlight valley tonight as I am writing this.  Apparently it’s a dad son game and I’m not allowed to play. Lol.  Not much progress to get Ethan his Trexo over the last couple of weeks, feel like one step forward and two steps back.  

As I mentioned previously we are still trying to see if we can purchase the walker through the government’s ADP program, but having a hard time finding a PT who can measure him as part of the program.  In addition the company we are going through for the purchase also feels we won’t get approved because he has a wheel chair already. Not sure why it’s a mutually exclusive decision.  When he was at school he had a walker, stander and wheelchair. We were always being told by his PT and OT how important it was to have him out of the wheelchair in either his stander or walker for his strength, posture and motility.  Now apparently that he has aged out the school system he’s fine and doesn’t need anything else except a wheelchair?  I know slightly tongue in cheek comment.  But I have to say it is really frustrating for us not being able to get the same supports as he was when he was a child, his prognosis hasn't changed because he’s an adult. 

We really need the walker before we get the Trexo robotic legs as they will attach to it.  So it really is holding us up at the moment from moving forward.  I really hope we get answers soon.   We have been able to extend our current quote with Trexo to get the 2024 pricing which I am happy with.  So confirmed next week that we are back on with the local tv interview, so fingers crossed we can finally do that.
