Surgery is a go!

Well… he did it!

George spent the weekend getting stronger and even took a lap around the ICU tonight. 

As of 5:00 p.m. today, the LVAD surgery is officially on the schedule for tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. It’s been a long week with lots of twists and turns, so we’re incredibly grateful to finally be at this point. The surgery is expected to take about 6–8 hours.

We can’t thank everyone enough for the prayers, messages, check-ins, and love you’ve shown our family. Your support has meant more than you’ll ever know.

Tonight, we’re asking for a few extra prayers—for George, for his surgeons and medical team, and for a smooth, successful surgery.
