Some food finally!

Today has been a better day for Gage!! His blood counts are up to 1390!!!! Thank you God!!!! Gage finally had a couple bites of grits and mashed potatoes. We will take it! Maybe small steps but we are improving!! I have been to the Starbucks down the street twice and it’s ok…lol he has had a hot chocolate and his favorite Frappuccino and some sweet tea. He is already planning his feast of a meal and it includes I’m sure the most expensive steak ever!!!😂😂🤦‍♀️ not being able to eat for 12 days has been rough. Thankful for his Doctors and his whole team caring for him. His Doctor just left and said she is so happy to see him smile again and this mommas heart is also!!❤️💕 Doctor said we should be home by the weekend. His nurse today brought him some Harry Potter sheets. Just little things like this make him so happy and to think we take so much for granted. His Chemotherapy is moved to next week so he can heal before his next round. You never truly know all that comes with having a child with Cancer!! I’m still in disbelief of it happening, but I know God will not put more on you than you can handle. My stepdad always said that!! The only thing that has gotten me through this the last three weeks of being here is my faith and knowing he is going to make it through this. We have a lot more months to go, but it is going to be ok. Thank you again for all the prayers and love and support. Love Whitney and Gage🙏🏻💕❤️
