Gabriel "Gabe" Eisner and Family
First, I didn’t get to talk to the OT who did the exam last Wednesday. So I don’t know official results, but watching her it was basically what I expected. I was hopeful for more but the exam they do is SO specific. We are holding on to all of his new sensation and believing that his status is going to change big time one day!
We had his “graduation” from inpatient on Thursday and moved all day. It was a very LONG day. The “new” apartment is older and smaller with less storage so finding a place for everything was challenging. But we are SO thankful to be over here in our own space. It’s just me and Gabe from 4pm to 9am everyday. I’ve cooked dinner some and we’ve set our own schedule for overnight that gives both of us the most sleep possible. It’s been so nice not being woken up by staff all the time! As wonderful as they were, 10 weeks was a long time.
Friday he had evaluations from his new team, PT, OT, nursing and Recreational therapist.
We had a great weekend with Jonathan and Benji with us, watched a lot of football and just enjoyed being together!
This week has been so good so far! We are finding our groove and everything for the most part has been pretty smooth. We had a conference on Tuesday morning and it looks like we may be in day program longer than I was anticipating. Still waiting on final confirmation for that. As soon as we have a timeline I will share that with you all.
Thank you all for continuing to pray! Thank you for loving us! Thank you for feeding Jonathan and the kids! We are so grateful for all the ways everyone is helping and praying!! Love you all!
