As Felix works hard to maintain his mobility and independence, safely navigating the stairs at home is an important daily goal. Our current stair railing has a large gap in the middle that makes it difficult for him to keep a secure handhold while climbing. We'd like to replace it with a custom continuous banister that allows him to hold on from the bottom to the top without letting go, giving him greater confidence and reducing his risk of falls. This modification will help him practice this important life skill safely while supporting his independence as long as possible.
