Give to Support One Year of Physical Therapy Copays?

Physical therapy is one of the most important parts of Felix’s care plan, helping him build and maintain strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and mobility. Because Felix has a progressive mitochondrial disease, consistent therapy is critical to helping him preserve his independence and continue doing the things he loves—walking, playing, and participating in everyday activities. At this time, physical therapy is partially covered by insurance, but we are responsible for a $20 copay per session, twice each week. Insurance coverage for ongoing therapy is often limited, especially for children with long-term conditions requiring continued support, so we anticipate that more of this cost may become our responsibility in the future. Support with Felix’s physical therapy costs will help ensure he can continue receiving the consistent, specialized care he needs to maintain his abilities for as long as possible.
