Fisher Bennett
Thank you everyone so so much for your support. We are so blown away by the love and kindness Fisher has received over the last few days. We know he is an incredibly special boy but to read and see the positive impact that he has had so far on so many people with something as simple as his smile is more than I could ever ask for. A small fact for people who are getting to learn about Fisher through Support now, after around a month in the NICU with Fisher and they were giving us a very grim and heavy prognosis, assigning us to our palliative care team, and preparing us for the worst. We had been told he had small percentage of healthy brain matter left that had not been damaged by his hydrocephalus, and that the hydrocephalus was going to continue to get worse before things would get better. We were told Fisher would most likely have no quality of life left, no ability to breath, eat, walk, talk, he would be blind, he would be deaf, he wouldn’t feel emotions. We left that room broken and I called everyone I could and begged them to pray, as long as he could smile we would be ok. I needed to know that he could atleast be happy. We had prayer chains as far as Florida praying that Fisher could be happy and healthy. This little boy has defied just about every outcome that was given to him in that conference room that day but most importantly he has THE BEST smile. He doesn’t need words to touch peoples hearts, his smile does it for him. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! Not only are we able to place our deposit that is due this week but we are able to pay for both intensive therapies coming up. Now we get to focus our efforts on getting him into stem cell therapy. We cannot say thank you enough! We will leave our support now up for anyone who wants to continue to support us through this journey and so I can continue to give updates to those that are following along beside us❤️
