One of the biggest struggles we face with Finn is extreme irritability. Not only is it a challenge for us as we care for him but it inhibits a lot of his abilities in therapy. 
As his nervous system regulates and he is calmer he makes more strides in other areas. That is so hit or miss though. 
They call this “neurostorming” and it is caused by the brain injury. There are factors that influence the severity of it (discomfort, constipation, etc.) but because of the nature of the injury it isn’t always possible to know what’s causing it and how to help him. 
We spend almost every minute that he isn’t napping doing our best to help him stay calm by rocking, holding, bouncing, etc. 
The times that we see improvement though are so encouraging and we are praying for so much more of that!

Please also be praying for wisdom on weaning him from some of his medication. He is on medications for neurostorming and other side effects from the injury but as time passes we have seen signs that he may be able to handle not being on one of them. This could help reduce some of his constipation and other side effects that come with being on meds. It’s a hard balance giving him what he needs to stay restful while also not slowing down brain plasticity and his healing. 

Another prayer related to this is that he would handle his car seat better! It would be much easier for me (Hannah) to take him to therapies and appointments without Levi home. We have had to pick and choose what to do even with both of us because of how much he just screams in the car. 
We will also be making a 3 hour drive down to Austin in a few weeks and would love for that to be peaceful for him!
