Finn had a two day break from therapy this weekend and his sisters came to visit! It was a nice break in therapy for Finn and so good to all be together as a family for a couple of days. We miss the girls so much when we are away so we are thankful Levi's mom was able to bring them to see us in the middle of the 2 week intensive.
Finn was pretty worn out from the long week and needed Saturday to recover but he still was a trooper while we walked around the botanical gardens with the girls and had a picnic. They have a children’s musical garden and Finn loved listening to Levi play music.
On Sunday we all took a little field trip to the state capitol!
Levi and I had not visited since we were kids and the girls had never been so we thought it would be a good activity. The girls were not as bored as I thought they might be!
The girls had to make the drive back home after that so Levi and I headed to lunch with Finn. He was so relaxed that he took an afternoon nap in his stroller on the patio while we both ate without a baby in our arms... truly a miracle. It was so amazing to see that improvement in him.
We don't ever get out this much with Finn back home due to his discomfort and irritability but we wanted to make the most of our time. Although it takes one of us holding him a lot he has calmed down significantly in our time here in therapy and it was worth the effort to make the memories as a family!
We have three more days left of our intensive this week and are feeling very encouraged in his progress. We can't wait to see how he is by the end of the week! I will update again when we get back home with all of the changes we have seen and what we are hoping to do for Finn in the coming weeks and months!
