UPDATE 08/30

Vivian was taken off the ventilator around 1 or 2am. They thought they were going to have to put her back on, but Kelly being by her side and talking to her calmed her down and genuinely helped her breathe and recover better. The doctors let her sleep with her when they noticed she was doing so much better with her by her side. But Kelly is very sleep deprived so prayers for rest on her end.

Vivian has not fully woken up but has wiggled and squirmed. She had a CT scan around 5am where she opened her eyes for just a few seconds. Now Vivian is sleeping, and they are waiting to hear from the doctors on those results.

Current prayer requests include: complete neurological restoration for Vivian, that she would regain every function and return fully to her neurological baseline, rest for all of them, answers from the CT scan, and that Vivian can soon return to “normal” to get started back on chemo. And of course the obvious—for Vivian’s miracle. 🩷🩷🩷
