Our dad got hurt in an accident at work. There was a big explosion. It was very sad because the shop owner, who was Dad's best friend, passed away. Dad got burns on his arms and face. Now, Dad can't work for a while.

 Dad Is Getting Skin Grafts for His Burns
The doctors looked at Dad's burns closely. They said he has 3rd degree burns, which are really deep and serious. Dad had a debridement (cleaning of his wounds) and a capillary refill check (test to see how fast blood returns to the skin). Now, he needs a special procedure called skin grafts. This is when doctors cover burns with skin from another part of the body to help it heal.

Dad is going to have the procedure on Tuesday, 10.29.2024. After that, he will stay in the hospital for about a week to get better. We are all hoping for the best and want to thank everyone for their support.
