David has completed labs, imaging, and a number of appointments for his transplant work up. We met with his hepatologist last Friday to do a final review of risks and benefits. There is no perfect cure for PSC and transplant does not solve everything, but all the doctors agree that transplant seems like the best long term plan. 

The next step is for David’s case to be reviewed by UCSDs transplant committee to approve him for official listing. That was scheduled to happen yesterday, but the full team was not present so they moved his case review to next Tuesday. We are bummed about the delay and hoping the listing will become official soon. 

We’d love prayer for patience in the waiting. Once David is officially listed we have no idea if we will get a call next week or next year for surgery. We are praying the Lord’s timing on when he receives a new liver, that it would be sooner rather than later, and for the donor liver to be in the best condition possible.
