Addison has been extubated for over a week now. She did great through the weekend and then decided breathing was a lot of work on Monday. She had a bunch of “spells” when she would quit breathing and before the machine that was assisting her would kick in she would drop her pulse and oxygen saturation low. That was pretty traumatic for Hannah to watch so Orvil took a couple days off to support Hannah and Addison. They switched her to a different machine and she has been doing much better.  She is still trying to figure out how to breathe slow and steady and has periods when she is breathing very fast. Her current weight is 2 pounds, 6.8 ounces and 13” long. Addison continues to love being held by her parents and always seems to snuggle in and nap when she gets put on either of their chests. We appreciate the continued prayers for this amazing little girl and her family.
