We are searching. We are learning. And we are stepping into this fight fully aware now of how massive it truly is.

The silence left behind is deafening. The empty spaces where Dalton’s laughter, footsteps, and voice should be are impossible to escape. That silence pushes us forward every single day.

Please take the time to look into the Right to Fight movement and The Betrayal Project USA. Read the stories. Sign petitions. Use your voice. Share what is happening. Awareness matters.

I am not against organ donation. Organ donation can save lives. But what is happening within parts of this system is deeply disturbing. Families deserve absolute certainty before irreversible decisions are made. Brain death is legally defined as the total and irreversible cessation of all function of the entire brain and brain stem. Those standards exist for a reason and they must be protected, respected, and honestly followed.

No family should have to question whether more time, more testing, or proper treatment could have changed the outcome for someone they love.

Shame on the institutions, organizations, and medical professionals who fail families in their most vulnerable moments. Shame on systems that pressure grieving parents while withholding options, denying transfers, refusing continued treatment, or removing choice from families entirely.

We should have been allowed to take Dalton home. We should have been given the opportunity to continue his care. After he already disproved their expectations once, there should never have been another step toward brain death testing. He deserved every chance to heal. He deserved support, treatment, nutrition, airway protection, and time. He deserved the truth.

“Do No Harm” cannot just be words on paper.

We are asking people everywhere to stand with us. Demand transparency. Demand accountability. Demand independent review processes. Demand protections for patients and families. Make our voices louder than the institutions profiting while families are left shattered.

This should concern every parent, every family, and every person who may one day find themselves powerless inside a hospital room.

Dalton matters. His life matters. And we will continue fighting in his name.

So well expressed. I continue to grieve with you as I think of Dalton every day. I hope your inspirational words will reach the world and begin a wave of concern and action against institutions that are failing patients at a unbelievable and irreversible expense. God bless.
