Well we sure didn’t expect to spend Annies favorite holiday here, but here we are. Annie has been feeling good for the most part but the doctors aren’t seeing what they are looking for from her output. So sadly she is still on a clear liquid diet and unless things change they may have to start looking into other options to get her system running like normal again. Fingers crossed we move forward and not backward tomorrow.. They keep telling us that the only thing she can really do on our end to help is move/walk around so we beat our previous record and walked 3 miles worth of laps around the unit!

We’ve had the best nurse over the weekend and she was able to pull some strings to get us moved to a room with a view of the lake. Being 12 stories up and overlooking navy pier we should have been in a prime spot for an awesome fire work show. But along with the rest of Chicago we were severely let down. Very heavy fog rolled in right before they started and even people up close to the fireworks could hardly see the show. We heard it but didn’t see a single thing. At least we got to wake up to a sunrise over the lake.
