ONE WEEK AWAY!

It is hard to believe that Killian is just over 5 weeks old and his surgical consult is in one week! We were able to get an earlier appointment, which we are thrilled about! He can’t eat or drink like his sisters, but that hasn't slowed him down in the slightest. He is now eating quasi soft kibble and is able to drink water from a water licker. He took to both very naturally. Aside from that, he loves to play with both his littermates and some of our adults. He’s very curious about everything and recently started to play with toys. To look at him you’d never know that he was born with a cleft palate, had to be tube fed for weeks, aspirated and sometimes vomitted because of his inability to drink normally, and our constant concern that he would end up with pneumonia due to fluids gathering in his little lungs. Thank goodness that never happened.

We are still seeking contributions for his impending surgery(ies). Killian’s consult, veterinary care, and surgical needs will cost will be between $4,500 and $7,500 (and that’s if it is only one surgery.
