Cleft Palate Surgery for Killian!
Hi to our friends, families, and followers! We’ve made just about $2,000 in 3 days and we couldn’t be more elated or gracious to have people such as yourselves in our lives! We still have quite a bit to go to reach our $7,500 target, but with people like you in our lives, we our belief that the universe will provide, we know Killian is going to be an amazing puppy!
Today he went to our normal vet, to make sure we weren’t over feeding him (which we were by about 2 millimeters), both otherwise he received a clean bill of health. Our vet even said we had done a really good job at keeping him alive because most people/ breeders wouldn’t have 1:) Known what to do and do it correctly, as tube feeding is not easy and you 2nd guess yourself all the time and 2.) we didn’t automatically euthanize him. We were quite taken back about the 2nd statement. How do you just give up on a living being when there is possibly a way to keep them alive, thriving, and loving them. I guess for most breeders it is a job, so from that perspective I understand the decision, but as a human being, I wholeheartedly do NOT!
Most breeders also rehome the dogs their dogs they no longer breeder. Again, they’re our family first, and hence we do not rehome.
Killian will one day be strong and healthy and he’ll need his forever home. By then he’ll be a strong, roly-poly, Pug puppy who has met his kindred spirit. He’ll be someone’s spirit animal for sure.
Stay tuned for the next update and please remember every dollar helps this little guy!
Thank you again to everyone!
Brian, Kate, and Killiam
