I’ll give an in-depth update soon, but here is what I’ve got now.
Sammi/Feist/Chunk passed peacefully, in Christyna’s arms about an hour ago. He was surrounded by love. The person who first fostered him, and brought him into Christyna’s life, Mae (maybe May, I’m not sure and didn’t ask), was with him. Carla, his Auntie, was here as well. Jack, his cousin and Carla’s keeper, was outside keeping guard. Chunk is no longer dealing with pain in silence. Cats are so weird.
The Primary has passed the torch to me. He was extraordinary! I had an acute allergy to cats that I had been working on completing for years. Chunk was loving and unwavering in getting attention from me. I was hesitant, and he never stopped. Because of him, “Cats are ok” with me. He was a good cat and one hell of a dog.
We gave him all the things he wasn’t supposed to have in the last 72 hours. He passed happy.
Please send love and support, implicitly or explicitly, to Christyna. We are grieving and ok.
Thank you, individually and collectively, for bouying us through all of this journey. Christyna and myself can’t do it on our own.
Love up your pets and hug them (if they’re huggers). Don’t take any cuddle for granted.
Love, as always.
Ryan
