I’ll get this out of the way so you don’t have to look it up. The Cubs magic number to clinch a playoff spot is 3. The Brewers magic number to clinch the division is 8. The Cubs are still in contention for the division title with 11 games left. Cubs, keep being hot! Brewers, cool off some more! Oh, the Astros magic number to clinch a playoff berth is 9. They got more work to go.

We are not a foosball household. So we don’t care about the Oilers or Da Bears. (Does Houston even have a foosball team anymore?)

We are a household of progress! Christyna is doing the hyperbaric chamber treatment 5 times a week, at the butt-crack of dawn. She leaves by 730am and is complete and home-ish (or work-ish) around 11am. I pack her up and pat her on the bootie very early in the morning. I like patting her on the bootie.

The wound vac has been doing an amazing job! Last Thursday Dr John Stamos Jr made the call to move it from the abdomen wound! There is still “tunneling” which requires special packing, but it’s simple for me to do. Christyna lays there and makes faces and I take cues from said faces on how I’m doing. She is a champ through it! In case you didn’t know, Riotfest is doing everything they can to meet the demands of John Stamos so he will come and they won’t have to rely on a butter sculpture of him. This isn’t the Dr Christyna has. It’s the real John Stamos! Here’s his list of demands and how they’re doing-

The wound vac is now working on the wound on Christyna’s breast. Dr John Stamos Jr moved it there because we already had it and it couldn’t hurt and probably will help that sore. It’s annoying to both Christyna and I, but if it will speed things up we do it!

Christyna is healing really well. Her strength and endurance is coming back. Her Home Health Care Aide wants her to slow up and rest more. Fat chance! I live with her and I have trouble making that happen!

We are having a little stay-cation for the next couple weeks. A great friend is going on a real vacation and her cat-sitter fell through. We get the use of her house and vehicle while loving on 3 kitties! Can you say “Go, Cubs! Go!” er… I mean “Score!” This is a blessing since Christyna’s car is in the shop and I am starting a course to become a paralegal. It sets us both up for life as the car gets repaired. I get to do the course work and Christyna has some space. Did I mention we also get 3 kitties!? “Go, Cubs! GO!” Indeed! Er, I mean, “Score!”

That’s your update. I’m packing and cleaning to be up the road a bit for a couple weeks. Christyna is supporting her clients. We are busy!
