The past month has been extremely busy. We thought all the visits to the house with home health and aids was busy but now we are adjusting to what it's like leaving the house every day.
We're thrilled that Chris can now feel things in his left hand and work toward strengthening his movements. He is eating regular meals mostly on his own and doing lots of PT (Physical Therapy) every day to help with healing, too. He's got a gym set up with multiple bands and we've made a wrist roll up bar for grip strength.
There's been progress and we are happy about every little win; we're just out of home health care and starting outpatient PT/OT the past couple of weeks. It's all a whirlwind but we just keep moving.
Plus, we're checking out vans with ramps and lifts to help us get around more easily. The first tries with bumper buddies were very mind rattling over the Ravenal bridge to downtown.
Even with all this busyness, we, the family, need help to maintain our strength and find time for social and spiritual activities. This is a long journey, and we appreciate every bit of support and kindness from everyone. Thank you for being with us in this challenging time. We'll keep updating as more positive news comes our way.
