It doesn’t feel like half a month has passed. A lot has taken place.
2/17 Cathy was able to leave Clear Sky. They cheered for her as she went out. The improvement from 2/10-2/17 was huge!
She stayed in Phoenix to attend Mags baby shower and enjoyed that. Luckily she was able to get a wheel chair that fit her needs pretty well.
2/19 she went back up to Flag where Karen is staying at the house to help her as she gets better. What a huge huge help!
Sadie was happy to see her and Cathy was excited to see Buddy again even though he was a little unsure at first.
She started some follow-up appointments the next week with the PCP and was referred to some of the specialist she’ll need to see along the way.
Her first appointment with the knee guy was on 3/3 and he actually gave the blessing to remove one of the immobilizers! That was a big relief and mood lifter. Feels like real progress. Cathy was even able to bend her knee almost 90 degrees.
There is some delay for the in home PT/OT, which Karen is working hard to resolve.
On 3/13 she’ll see the neuro specialist ans is hoping she can be free of the neck and back braces then.
