Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for our beloved son-in-law and brother-in-law, Carvell Henderson.
In late December 2022, Carvell was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive stage 4 sinus cancer. The cancer was discovered after Carvell began to lose vision in his left eye. Since then, he has bravely endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy and a full course of radiation. Sadly, none of the standard treatments or clinical trials have been successful. The cancer has now metastasized to all lobes of his lungs and is pressing against his bronchial tubes, making it increasingly difficult for him to breathe.
Carvell has now lost most of the vision in his left eye, and macular degeneration in his right eye has disqualified him from a promising clinical trial. As the tumors in his lungs have progressed, he now requires oxygen 24/7 and struggles daily with breathing and persistent coughing.
Throughout this journey, his wife Joy and their daughter Amara have been his constant and devoted support system. However, the emotional and financial toll on their family has been immense. Both Carvell and Joy have missed significant time from work due to countless doctor’s appointments, treatments, and hospital stays. With Carvell no longer able to work full-time and their paid time off exhausted, the family is now facing growing medical expenses and financial strain.
Now more than ever, we are asking for your help. If you feel moved to do so, please consider making a donation using the link below. If a financial contribution isn’t possible at this time, we invite you to visit the “Help Now” tab for other ways you can support the Hendersons.
Most importantly, we ask for your continued prayers for Carvell, Joy, Amara, and the entire Henderson family. Your love, support, and prayers are deeply appreciated and mean more than words can express.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Henderson and Flanagan Families
