This week we were supposed to go in for Callum’s follow up appointments in Kansas City. He had appointments with the Special Care Clinic and Rehab Clinic, as well as with his Cardiologist. Unfortunately, he got hand, foot, mouth and we were forced to reschedule those appointments. We will now being going to Kansas City in September. 

He has been having breakthrough episodes of his SVT since March(at least that’s when the first monitor got sent out and they were caught). We’ve been in Kansas City multiple times for EKGs and and ECO as well. His medications have been increased and still he’s having breakthrough episodes. We were inpatient for 4 days near the end of June and they got it to where the episodes were not longer than maybe 30 seconds at time—but still he was having about 10-15 of them in a day. 

We are still praying that God will heal his heart and that the episodes can be completely managed again. I had been excited to go back because we were going to do another monitor and we have been hoping and praying that it would possibly show a great decrease in those episodes but now we will just have to wait another month and half. 

In regards to his Cerebral Palsy diagnosis, we do therapy in Dodge City every other week. We also see Infant/Toddler services weekly and his therapist with them is amazing! She has been doing aqua therapy with him and he loves it! She also got him set up with some AFO braces to help support his feet for walking and they have been helping tremendously!
