Sooo..Wyatt loves to keep everyone on their toes with LGIT and summer fast approaching! As this summer is our first on LGIT there was bound to be learning curves..One being that the amount of fluid he will need to drink is insane!! He had been drinking almost 120 ounces a day the last couple weeks and using the bathroom more, and then his lips got really dry to the point of cracking and bleeding!
Primary cleared him as far as not being dehydrated, said to watch and his Dietian from BCH called and has increased his calories, as he's been hungry as well, and recommended to purchase an Electrolyte replenisher called Ultima which will help replenish what he loses as his body , due to the low carb diet, isn't able to retain fluid like everyone else as well as to add salt to his food!
The Ultima packets are on the expensive side, $20.99 for 20 to go packets..
