Today has been a harder day. We've been dealing with a fever - no signs pointing to illness or infection, but likely the irritation due to the blood in the brain. He's feeling pretty well otherwise. Took a little walk, but very tiring. The EVD (external drain) is still draining too much for it to be realistic for the EVD to be clamped off to see how well his body manages with just the ETV (internal drainage pathway). The pressure changes are causing him uncomfortable symptoms. He's just creating and draining too much CSF to properly manage, and so likely that he has to have surgery to place a shunt to manage his CSF levels.
