Bringing Hope and Healing to Gabe
We are finally home!!!
Gabe is physically feeling okay today - but it's been a rough road. Emotionally and mentally, he is elated to be home and he has shown such strength, courage, and positivity for the journey ahead. He is so grateful for all the support and well wishes he has received.
I previously shared that the kids all wanted to go to see their favorite band: Twenty One Pilots in concert for their birthdays this year, much like last year. With the help of grandparents and aunts, we were able to get them tickets to the show in San Diego! They'd been counting down the days with tremendous excitement since June, but then with everything going on, we weren't sure if it was going to be possible to go, at least not everyone. However, after several conversations with his team, we have been given the tentative clearance to attend the show on the 23rd!!!! With precautions, of course, and following a thorough check-up prior to leaving for a full day, but we are all ecstatic! This is the first TOP show all 7 of us will be able to attend, and to be able to experience our favorite band in person, together as a family, especially after the month we've had, will be such an incredible and uplifting experience!
The support we have received during this very difficult time has been greatly appreciated, and we send a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you. Please keep thinking of our sweet boy and sending him all your positivity. We know the journey ahead is going to be challenging - we have, unfortunately, experienced it before - but today, we are feeling so much gratitude and joy that we are all home together, that Gabe is feeling better today than days prior, and (hopefully) no one has to sacrifice their long-awaited and highly-anticipated TOP birthday concert!
