Brea Murphy & Family
Brea has been into clinic 3 days for the nasty chemo meds and taking steroids at home. Unfortunately she has felt mouth sores, leg pain and general fatigue. Her counts haven't changed dramatically so she is trying to do things at home to keep her busy and less bored. One of those things is making dinner with her interesting taste buds. She seems so ready to get out and see nice weather and reunite with people! Nervous but ready! Soon enough!
We are on a countdown this phase where she will get her last doxorubin and aspargase meds. Once those are done, her hair will start to grow. Can't wait to see those little hairs starting to grow in.
Its gonna get worse in the next 4 weeks before it starts to get better. I can't wait to come out on the other side of this phase. She will have a white blood cell count dive and that is when we get worried about getting sick. But she got past that before and I know she will again.
Her maintenance treatments will still continue for 18 more months so that's a long haul but we can't wait to have her back seeing friends, hanging at softball and going out to eat.
Thank your for the help. Insurance and these co-pays and deductibles are so annoying. We also keep traveling out to Oak Lawn a few times a week so food and gas are necessary.
