Blake Valentine’s Fight Against Cancer
This past week Blake was on a ventilator and underwent dialysis after his kidneys went into septic shock. We had a few short joyous days where his numbers improved and he came off the ventilator and dialysis machines.
Today, his breathing became more labored and they are struggling to keep his blood pressure stable. They found a large hematoma and several pockets of ascites in his abdomen pushing on his lungs.
They will soon re-intubate him in preparation for yet another procedure and possible surgery to remove the blood and fluid.
The doctors are cautiously optimistic. We pray that his body will heal and that he will come back to us.
