Benjamin’s Fight
We arrived in Miami yesterday and hit the ground running immediately. Within hours, Benjamin began more testing, starting with a CT scan. Unfortunately, it showed that his pulmonary vein stenosis is much worse than we originally thought.
Today, he will undergo a heart catheterization, where we’ll learn whether his condition can be treated with stents or if it will require open heart surgery. It’s terrifying to face these possibilities, but if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that our boy is incredibly strong.
Vivienne and I haven’t left his side for a moment. We’re staying right here in the room with him, taking this one step, one breath, one decision at a time.
Back home, Ryan is holding down the fort with the big kids, and honestly, I cannot express enough how grateful I am for him. Through everything we’ve been handed, he has been our rock. I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband, we really do make a pretty awesome team.
Please keep Benjamin in your thoughts today as we wait for answers. 💙
