Thank you for every prayer, every message, every encouraging word, and every person who has chosen to walk alongside our family. There have been so many days when your prayers have carried us, and we truly believe God has been faithfully working in Benny’s life.
Since Benny’s stem cell treatment in June, we’ve seen some really encouraging changes.
Although we weren’t able to receive all of his treatment through IV as originally planned, we were able to receive the majority of it and we’ve already seen beautiful progress.
His regulation has improved.
Diaper changes are easier.
His overall muscle tone is better.
None of these things are perfect, but better is an answered prayer. Every step forward reminds us that God is still writing Benny’s story.
After meeting and building a relationship with the incredible team at Neorgana, we knew we felt comfortable continuing his care with them. Since we had already paid for the IV portion of his treatment, we have decided to travel to Mérida, Mexico, in October for another round of treatment.
This time, Benny will receive:
Two rounds of intranasal stem cells
One round of IV stem cells
Physiotherapy
Neurofeedback
Red light therapy
Speech therapy
Of course, as his mom, I dream about the big milestones.
I pray for independent sitting.
I pray for stronger weight bearing.
I pray for those first intentional steps.
But this journey has taught me that before Benny can strengthen his body, he first needs to feel safe and regulated within it. And I truly believe that’s exactly where God is leading us.
He’s more comfortable.
He’s more alert.
He’s tracking more.
He’s laughing more.
He’s smiling more.
Those may seem like small victories to some, but to us, they’re the foundation for everything that’s still to come.
As we prepare for this next trip, we’re choosing faith over fear and hope over doubt. We know healing isn’t always linear, and we don’t know exactly what the future holds. But we do know Who holds Benny.
Please continue praying with us for safe travels, it’s only our second time leaving the country, the first was our honeymoon, wisdom for his medical team, and that God would continue the good work He’s already begun in our sweet boy.
