Since getting home from Indiana, we’ve been doing all the things. 🫠

I’m recovering from a minor surgery I had last Monday and was told not to lift over 20 pounds for 6 weeks… 🫣 let’s just say I’m failing that assignment.

Benny jumped right back into two days a week therapy at The Core, we’ve started in-home therapy back up one day a week with Greenbush, and we committed to a mini intensive in Andover, KS (bonus — they hopefully accept our Medicaid🙌). During that week-long stay, I’m planning to wrap up his last hyperbaric treatments too, and proceed with conversations with Dr. about our next steps for a home chamber, we are praying over space in our home, and the financial piece of it. Many of you have sent us ones for sale, but I’m not comfortable buying one not supported and managed by a doctor for Benny! There’s many risks with hyperbaric I’m uneasy about and protective over Benny for. 

Oh, and… we’re heading back to Indiana in October! 🐝

While in Indiana we spoke to a Dr about Stem Cell Patches and they just came in, it is something we are going to try and see!!   it is using phototherapy, specifically photobiomodulation, where your body’s own infrared heat is reflected back into your skin by the patch’s organic crystals to stimulate healing processes. They claim this action boosts the production of a peptide known as GHK‑Cu, which may activate your stem cells. 

 

Meanwhile, Charley is starting kindergarten and Clara starts preschool soon. We’re so excited for our girlies — and I’m maybe a little excited for some structure again. 🤪

Benny’s been throwing up more than his “normal” lately (yes, sadly that’s a thing), so I’m working through our next best steps. Not sure I have the energy to jump into making all of his daily blended meals just yet… 😆

One huge win since Indiana — bath time is finally better! Before, he would scream and cry every time he was in water (neurological thing, they said). Now? He even got in the pool at Travis’s boss’s house and loved it. 🩵

God is good in the big and little things — and we’re rolling with this next season, even if it’s a busy one. 💛
