Something amazing is about to happen for Benny. 🐝

In just ONE weeks, we’ll be heading out for a treatment we’ve spent a lot of time praying about, and carefully considering.

We’ve chosen to work with Neorgana, a regenerative medicine practice that has been utilizing MUSE cell technology for many years in Mexico and is now bringing their protocols to the United States, in Nashville!

Not all stem cells work the same way.

MUSE cells (Multilineage-differentiating Stress Enduring cells) are a unique population of cells that researchers believe may be able to detect areas of injury, migrate toward damaged tissue, survive in challenging environments, and support the body’s own repair processes, and they come with a HEFTY price tag.

Before treatment begins, Benny will undergo a qEEG (Quantitative EEG), a non-invasive brain mapping test that measures electrical activity in the brain. I am SO excited for this part because we’ll get a much deeper look at how Benny’s brain is functioning and a visual map of the areas impacted by his injury.

Over the course of 5 days, Benny will receive:
 MUSE cells by IV
 Intranasal MUSE cell administration
 Daily OTEIM laser therapy

Do we know exactly what will happen? No.
There are no guarantees, and we’re not expecting a miracle cure, I wish we could say that will happen!

But if there’s one thing Benny has taught us, it’s that progress often comes from many small pieces working together over time. Therapy, DMI intensives, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, MSC stem cell, adaptive equipment, medical care, and now potentially MUSE cells.

Our goal has never been to “fix” Benny. Even though deep down, it is, I truly wish he would just walk and talk like a typical kid when intensives wrap up, but I know that is not practical!

Our goal is simply to give him every opportunity possible and continue fighting for the best quality of life we can and his brain and body are still young the earlier the better.

What’s funny is that Travis and I had said we weren’t going to travel this summer. Yet this opportunity opened up, and it felt like a door we couldn’t pass up.

So we’re packing up all three kiddos and turning this trip into a summer adventure. While a lot of the time we will be focused on treatment and therapy, we’re also making it a family vacation and creating special memories with the girls along the way. ☀️

We are hopeful. We are excited. And we can’t wait to see what God has in store for our sweet Benny boy. 🐝
