Steph and Jim traveled to MSK in July and feel confident in the kind and brilliant experts and their treatment plan. This cancer type is aggressive, but the good news is it also often responds to strong and targeted chemotherapy.
The treatment plan, starting in July 2026 is essentially:
12 weeks of chemo (Ehertu 4 times, every 3 weeks),
12 more weeks of a second chemo type (T weekly and add HP every third week)
4-5 weeks to heal
a double mastectomy surgery at Sloan Kettering
a month of radiation, 5 days/week
ten years of endocrine medication for management phase
