One year ago you just came off your breathing tube. Something even the doctors were shocked about. We were told after the fact that nobody thought you would breathe on your own, but you DID it. We were also told there was a chance you’d never eat on your own or be able to walk or do much on your own. Well, you’re almost eating all meals by mouth and after your swallow study you’re ready for table food. You also are able to sit with support on your arms for longer and longer periods of time. You continue to defy the odds and what a gift from God it is to witness your determination. I love you so much, Avery Noelle and I am beyond honored to be your mama.
