Neurological & Physical Progress:
- Awesome Responses: He continues to open his eyes and move his left hand and left foot on command! Still minimal with the right side.
- Expression: He is also moving his mouth quite a bit, almost like he is actively trying to say something to us.
- Dangling Feet: Physical Therapy had him sitting on the side of the bed dangling his feet for 15 minutes today!
- Chair Time: He also sat up in his chair for a couple of hours.
- Respiratory: He continues to do great on pressure support!
Medical Updates & Consults:
- CT Scan Results: The CT scan following his permanent VP shunt placement showed no changes, meaning his shunt valve can remain right at its current setting!
- Clavicle (Collarbone): The team decided that he will wear a sling when he transitions to the Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility, and they will re-evaluate his clavicle in 3 to 4 weeks.
- ENT & Plastic Surgery: Both teams checked in and noted that any further evaluation will wait until Austin is able to actively participate and respond a bit more. They will reassess at a later date as he continues to wake up.

Brain Wave Trial: His brain wave trial study will resume tomorrow morning.
