Ashley Rabe
We are absolutely gutted to share that Ashley has been diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma - an extremely aggressive and ultimately terminal cancerous brain tumor.
With the guidance of our medical team, we have decided to start radiation and chemotherapy as soon as we could with the goal of maximizing her survivorship and quality of life for as long as possible. She has been in treatment for over two weeks and will be completing this round in early November. Physically she is doing well responding to treatment and also doing well recovering from surgery. Ashley lost a portion of her vision permanently, but has been adjusting well to that too.
The future of her treatment is unclear at this time, but we will continue to update as we feel comfortable. For now, Ashley continues to have gratitude for her physical and mental strength to keep fighting, the joys she finds in each day, and all our loved ones who have carried us through these dark days- for Brody who has been the most incredible partner through all of this, for our 8 month old twin girls Tatum and Maddyn- who bring joy to our darkest days, and for our parents who have put their lives on pause to support us.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, reached out, visited, donated meals, and for all the continued thoughts and prayers. We appreciate all of you.
