So, my husband was able to find a workaround to doing his job as a delivery driver for the moment; he has a very good relationship with his coworkers and friends and they were willing to let him borrow a car when working. That's the good news, and I'm trying to be very positive about things right now.

The bad news begins with a) I haven't been able to find a ride to my externship and I may need to postpone it until we get a new car again since, b) our car is toast. We had a mechanic come to check it out, someone who had been better by multiple friends, who tells us that the computer is fried. Our car is basically a very large paperweight now, and at 211k miles it's no wonder. Our options aren't much save for getting a new car, so that's what we'll have to do.
