Asher Blue
We've been here long enough they made us move rooms. They said every 30 days we have to get a new room for "infection control and delirium." So we're two rooms down the hall now.
Asher has been on CPAP most of the last two days, but rested last night on the vent. He is coughing less and coughing is more effective. He looks much more comfortable. He is not biting his tongue anymore and the swelling in his lips is going down. We are seeing more and more movements and response every day. This morning I was on one side of the bed and dad was on the other. As each of us was speaking, he was turning his head side to side with the sound. His muscles are more relaxed.
He has one more day on his methadone taper and then they'll start weaning Valium. This coming week they'll do the first trach change and then they'll let us start doing the training for care at home. He's back on bolus feeds with the G tube and tolerating those well.
Please pray that angels of protection and favor would surround us-for additional supplements to be added, for no additional delays to keep us here, for speedy discharge so we can get to HBOT, provision for the needed treatments. All praise to Yahuah on High for every bit of progress our boy has made and we are praising Him for all He has accomplished that we don't see yet. Thank you all for standing with us. Now is not the time to get comfortable. Each time we get close, the enemy fires a dart. We are wielding the shield of faith and declaring Psalm 91 over our family. Continue to cover us in prayer.
