We flew to Arizona this past Wednesday for our follow up with Dr. P at Total Wellness and it was a wild day. I'm just gonna give y'all the cliff notes version.

We made it through TSA with zero minutes to spare. When we landed there was a delay at the gate due to a broken down vehicle that needed to be towed out of the way. Because of the delay our oximeter died and the oxygen concentrator shut itself off so we thought it was a dead battery. When we finally got off the plane we rushed to find a plug somewhere and that airport was a madhouse. There was some serious spiritual warfare going on because Asher started seriously freaking out. We had to nebulize him twice, his secretions were super thick, he was throwing up, etc. I was praying and commanding whatever was attacking him to leave, but nothing would let up. It occurred to me there might be some territorial spirits so I said, "We're just passing through. We're not here for you. This attack is unsanctioned. We'll be out of here by tonight." Within minutes he started settling.

It took us an hour to find the car rental place after walking about 2 miles and getting on the wrong train. The company we rented a car with was packed. There were about 50 people in that line. There were other companies, but no one was in line for them. I asked the one next door if they had cars. He told me they did, but they were really expensive and that's why everyone else was in the other line. We ended up paying $994 for a rental because we had twenty minutes to get to our appointment that was 45 minutes away and we did not have time to wait in that line. Once we got to the car garage a staff member directed us to space with an SUV. I was confused because the guy at the desk said it was a minivan, but they're the workers and they know so I assumed I was wrong. After loading the boys and all the stuff we were not able to leave the garage because the person at the exit said we were in the wrong vehicle and made us go back and switch vehicles.

We ended up over an hour late for our appointment. Thankfully they still saw us and Dr. P was so gracious. He put together some nebulizer solutions for Asher and did an autologous platelet rich plasma to adjunct the stem cells we did in June. We also did some enzyme injections to loosen up his Achilles tendons.

We made it back to our gate an hour prior to boarding. We traveled with a power strip and car adapter that allowed us to charge everything on the road. We had everything plugged in for about 6 hours. We board the plane and Asher was upset we woke him to move him to the seat on the plane so he was huffing and puffing. Our suction died. Very bad. This is our third suction machine so we thought it was malfunctioning again. Sometime after takeoff we heard an announcement for AC plugs. We start searching and find plugs under the seats. We were able to connect to them for the oximeter and suction. The battery on the suction was totally drained so it was operating weak. As we climbed Asher's sats started dropping and he was started to fall asleep. The concentrator would not stay on. Both batteries weren't doing anything even though they were fully charged. So, we just kept praying and praising Jesus through the flight. As we descended his sats started climbing again.

Once off the plane, we had to stop and charge the suction some before we could make our way across the airport to find our vehicle. Asher was huffing and puffing again now and we needed to get on our way so every time he needed suction, we had to stop and and plug in. Once outside, we went to the wrong level in the garage cuz I'm directionally challenged. When we got to the car a fuse was blown where we normally connect his equipment so we had to prioritize and plug in the most needed equipment for our ride home. What a stressful day! But ABBA was with us all the way and provided for that car rental.

That really is the cliff notes version, y'all.

People have asked how Asher is doing. We really don't SEE much change, but we know God's Word cannot return to Him void and we are counting on His faithfulness. Thank you Jesus!
