A few months ago Aryah experienced her first seizure since she was an infant. It was scary. It was uncomfortable. It was unforgettable. 
It required an EEG- a painless brain test that records your brain's electrical activity using electrodes placed on your scalp, showing brain waves as wavy lines to diagnose things like epilepsy. 

As a result of the stroke she suffered at birth, Aryah will always be at risk for epilepsy due to the brain damage it caused. 

Though this episode required a one night stay at the children’s hospital, Aryah’s smile reminded us that she was okay, her strength is admirable. Our true warrior princess.
