Hello Friends and Colleagues,
There have been a couple of very special moments to celebrate this week.
There have been a couple of very special moments to celebrate this week.
Last Sunday, after weeks of not hearing Art’s voice, I had the incredible gift of talking with him again. We talked about work, caught up, and even cracked a few jokes along the way. Hearing his voice and that familiar sense of humor again was a moment I will never forget.
And today brought another wonderful milestone.
After multiple surgeries and more than a month in the hospital, Art passed his swallowing test!
That means that today, October 7th, Art can drink water and enjoy his first dinner in over a month!
For those who know Art, you know he is an incredibly positive person. That positivity, his strength, and the tremendous support he and his family have received from so many people have meant so much throughout these past several weeks.
We also want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the incredible generosity shown through the donations to Art and his family. Every contribution, large or small, has been a meaningful reminder that they are surrounded by people who care. The financial support has been incredibly helpful, and Art and his family are truly grateful to everyone who has given.
Thank you to everyone who has prayed for Art, sent messages, visited, shared his story, made a donation, or simply kept him and his family in your thoughts. Every act of kindness has made a difference.
Today, we celebrate Art’s voice, his laughter, a glass of water, and his first dinner. Sometimes the simplest things are the biggest victories.
Thank you all for continuing to stand beside Art and his family. Your love, kindness, and generosity mean more than you know.
With love, gratitude and much hope,
Mary Solorzano
