Hi all, 

We are in the waiting game phase. We've ruled out a few things, bacterial meningitis being a big one. Annie is still sedated and on the ventilator, but is breathing well on her own. She hasn't had any new seizures in the last 48 hours. A few symptoms that were concerning us are slowly improving, but there probably won't be any new information until we get results from her blood tests. We have a few days until then. 

Right now, we are sending all of our hopes and prayers towards Annie responding to her name again and basic commands. (Though we all know our rebel being commanded to do anything has rarely resulted in compliance.) Once she can do that we can start the process of removing her from the ventilator, which will be a big win. 

Since so many of you have asked, the family is tired and figuring out what our new normal will be. If anyone randomly knows where Annie keeps her passwords, please let us know. Until then we are trying our best to get good sleep and food.
