Hello,
I wanted to share with you Annie's funeral page and details for the service. There is an option to purchase flowers or plant a tree, but truly the most helpful thing now is donations to this SupportNow page or sharing it with others. Because of your kindness, we've been able to cover the cost of the funeral in full. That has taken a tremendous burden off of our shoulders, so now we can focus on living expenses for Cyrus and other debts to be paid as we navigate the weird bureaucracy and paperwork of all this.
Truly, thank you all so much. It would be impossible to get through this without y'all. From the folks who stopped by to deliver meals and help with chores, to the donations, to the sharing of our page, to the sweet words that made it clear responses weren't needed but love was there, we have been cocooned in support. Please know we were able to read Annie some of the messages written here in the hospital during her good days. She was deeply touched by how everyone was showing up. I'll keep reading them out loud to her now because it makes me feel good.
There has been lots of crying, but also moments where we get to laugh thinking about Annie's reactions to things. There was a wild moment with a well-meaning hospital chaplain that I am convinced would have led to Annie going off in the funniest way possible.

Wear something bright and bold on the 24th wherever you are. Annie is color. I designed her house this past year in the Sims and her instruction on her color palette was something like "an organized piñata." So that's what we're aiming for at the service.
Because Annie will be cremated before the service, and represented by pictures, we decided to offer a live stream of the event for those that can't be here in person. A link will be available on the funeral page closer to the date.
