To my friends, coworkers, and family I've been able to avoid foreclosure by placing a forbearance on my home.
Rehab is going good and I was able to ditch the crutches about a week ago. Still need a bit of support from a cane or walking stick to get around. Stairs were a bit of a challenge right after my discharge from the hospital, but I'm now able to walk up or down stairs by just using the handrails.
I just spoke with my human resources mananager at employer and set a date of November 9th as a return to work date. This is depending on the orthopedic surgeon filling out the return to work authorization, releasing me back to full duty.
I was able to qualify for SNAP food benefits, and continue to apply for medicaid to help with the ever-growing hospital, doctors, and physical therapy bills. Things are looking up and a big thank you goes to the people who have supported us during this very troubling time.
