I understand my immune system is low. I understand pathogens lurk everywhere,  but when i am told." No gardening. " " No playing in the dirt". " No smelling flowers." Ugh. It just goes against the things that make me feel good. It goes against who I am. I play with nature. When I play with nature i feel connected, timeless and alive.

I made it to the park for tai chi. In this park, I post up by a picnic table under a somewhat humble maple tree. Its a smaller tree,  yet sitting at the bench i am surrounded by a spectacular spectrum of RUBY.. and it makes me feel great.

Maybe I like the kids from the nearby swingset calling it hot lava, and I, after all these decades, am at last content to be the hot lava monster.

..Im a dragon in my lair of treasures ..
Maybe I am pulled there because my small , few, and misshapen redblood cells may get a spark of memory to a time when they flowed strong and dominant, like hot lava piping through my organs and veins.

Regardless, I love it there. And though ive resisted before,  yesterday i couldn't help but pick a few leaves, and then a few more, hurriedly, but not stirring up dust,  as to not cause myself "harm". I scanned and placed from my abundance of riches, til I thought I could stop..
...though I would have kept going, marveling, appreciating,  had my sister not called me in, late for dinner. The street lights were coming on. ✨️

timeless .
connected.
Alive.

I love these entries. When I get a notification in my email, I stop what I'm doing to read them. That's the sign of a good writer: you FEEL their authenticity.

Oh, Amanda! I can only imagine your frustration at being restricted from nature. You, of all the forest nymphs! It won’t be forever. And all the beauty will be there for you to inhale when it’s time. I love that you use your camera to capture what you may not touch. It is a gift to yourself, as well as all of us. It’s your clever way to outfox the rules. I look forward to your posts, and so appreciate that we have this special place to be with each other. Your writing is evocative and compelling to read. Sending you a huge hug, darling girl! 🌿

Beautifully said and done! I remember playing with my boys and they had to step on stones, cuz everything else was hot lava. It was a game we played in nature! I love your love for nature! I am praying for you! ❤️

True beauty, my love! I like this idea of seeing your blood as hot lava. Building up the amount of cells that, that body needs!
