Hi everyone! Just a quick update!
I received chemo #11 of 16 yesterday! Feeling good today. Mild neuropathy trying to squeak in on my right hand so please pray with me that that is short-lived and goes away. But other than that I am doing extremely well physically. My blood counts have all been well enough to continue getting treatment each week and I am feeling healthy. Fatigue has not been too much of an issue at all thanks to everyone's prayers and support I am able to sit and rest when I need to.
I have had friends take me for walks 3 x a week and that is good to keep me moving.  Some folks have been reaching out to do Saturday morning walks with me too and that is great so if you are one who would want to do that, hit me up!  I may be looking into adding other exercise at home as well if I am able.
The big update is that after next Monday (#12 of chemo) I will be done with the first kind of drugs and moving onto the next kind. These are the "big guns" .  It will be once every 21 days  - still likely on the Monday. And i will do 4 of those. These drugs are know to have more severe side effects and cause people to need much more rest time. Please pray with me that I hold up ok and that just like this first round, that my side effects will be mild.  Specific things to pray for:
-Fatigue to not stop me from being "Mom" during the days
-White blood cells to stay in normal limits
-No neutropenic fever (anything over 100.4 and I have to go to the hospital)
-Nausea and GI issues to be controlled (they have been thus far!! )

I also altered the needs calendar. I shifted the meal needs days to the treatment weeks and removed meals and cleaning needs on the weeks I will not be getting treatments. I am hoping we will be able to manage on the 2 "rest weeks" in between treatment weeks. If you had already signed up for a meal, you may have been removed so you might want to check that out.  Same with house cleaning. I removed the ones in between treatment weeks to spread that burden out so that means your date may have been eliminated. I don't know if the system sent emails to let those people know.
Thanks for understanding.

Many blessings to all of you! It's still a long long road ahead. I should have the month of October to heal from the chemo (as long as none of the treatments get delayed). Which would put a surgery at mid-November.  And getting December to heal from that. January/February would be resuming immunotherapy and radiation. It is a long haul. I imagine I will be back to needing my village thru surgery recovery. Hoping the month of October will be off from needing help entirely.

Blessings to you all!
-Amanda Paul
