For the past 3 weeks, we have been in Chicago receiving intensive rehabilitation at the NAPA Center. We have seen incredible improvements. More head strength, safer transfers, working on visual processing. This place is truly incredible. We have met so many wonderful friends. Every one has been on a different journey. It’s amazing to be in a place where everyone “gets” it.

Additionally, we drove up to Dayton Ohio. Allison represented CHRISTUS Children’s hospital at the 2025 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals annual golf tournament. We got to meet many different families who are going through, or have overcome medical challenges. Allison alone was able to raise $7,000 for the children’s hospital. This event in total raised $3.1 million. It was a wonderful experience.

What’s next? We have had a nice 3 week break of no appointments. But when we get back we immediately will dive back in. First we will be getting Allison’s respiratory equipment. This consists of medication, a nebulizer, and a cough assist machine. This will hopefully expand her lungs. Currently, both lower lobes are chronically collapsed. She also only has 50% capacity. Next we have a few appointments scheduled. Rheumatologist, Orthopedist, Neurologist, and more. In July we will see the neurosurgeon to evaluate for SDR and discuss spinal cord findings. The hope is to do SDR or a similar procedure to reduce pain, tone, and improve comfort. If Allison isn’t a candidate we will go forward with a right foot reconstruction/ tendon reroute. We also have a sleep study scheduled to see if she needs sleep support.

Thank you so much for being here.
