Sorry for another late update.  Lots to juggle.  Today was a bit less exhausting than yesterday (for us).   Mom had a more exhausting day today because she finally got to shower!!!   She had a nice shower and then wound vac care (they have to be scheduled together).   In addition, she the daytime CNA and then home health nurses  (one sent through insurance and then a private home health nurse to help me & Amy more on a daily basis).  She also got a visit from Emma and Hunter (who she got to see for the first time since January last night) and they even sat outside for a bit.  Amy and I made tons of calls to pharmacies, docs, etc. still trying to get all the medicine straightened out.   

We also learned a bunch from the private home health nurse. Kathy came out twice today - she is our new BFF and she's from Monmouth County NJ.  In the morning, she came as the Director of Nursing to go over agreements for the CNAs, nursing needs, etc.  She taught Amy and I lots of amazing nuggets that the 30 minutes lesson in the hospital did NOT cover.  Then tonight she came back as the RN Nurse to help hang/give mom her night meds.  She taught us MORE tips and tricks for hanging IV antibiotics and her TPN.   She's also helping advocate for help getting these last few meds straightened out with docs/insurance. 

Mom is great overall and even had some surprise visitors in the evening including Megan!  She still confused/unhappy why she can't eat or drink but we have to keep explaining that it's because the tiny holes in her small bowel need to close up/heal from getting glued/patched shut and overall healthier tissue.  Also her dry mouth is driving her nuts so we keep ordering and getting everything we can to make her more comfortable!

Thanks again for continued support.  Please know she's still not really talking on the phone, texting etc.   She's barely playing on her phone but hopefully soon she'll get more and more back to herself but as long as her health is improving we are happy!
