Mom was trying to get out of bed last night (Friday night) a bunch so they put a telesitter in her room to ensure she was safe. See attached pic :) She was also a bit agitated so we think it was a bit of hospital psychosis from such a long stay and that's why we are praying to take her home on Monday. The cultures from earlier this week also showed a fungus so they added in another antibiotic and they had given her something for the agitation.
Amy spent most of the day there, then some friends visited and I went at the end of the day. Mom was comfortable and a bit confused but the amazing news is she hasn't had any dilaudid (IV pain meds) since Friday at 9am which means we are one step closer to bringing her home. She is getting her pain meds now via a film that goes on the inside of her mouth. Thankfully pain has been controlled with that and that's the last piece of the puzzle to work out before the doctor's will discharge her.
We also selected a private nursing/home health company to help us for this next chapter. Continued prayers for uneventful days ahead.
